TEA PARTY CLUELESS AGAIN: CONSTITUTION PUTS MILITIAS OF SEVERAL STATES UNDER PRESIDENTIAL COMMAND!

Truthfully, I have never seen such a constitutionally illiterate culture as the right wing one. What they think is unconstitutional is and what they think is constitutional isn't.


When it comes to militia's these violence-prone goose-steppers haven't a clue. Lets look at the constitution in order to destroy their notions of the role of militias:

Article 1 Section 8 ON CONGRESSIONAL POWERS:

To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;

To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;

Article 2 Section 2 ON PRESIDENTIAL POWERS

The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States............
