You just have to wonder at this hypocrisy.
This continual right wing pissing exposes the hypocrisy and pettiness of right wing America. The nutjobs rant continuously against Obama for trying the terrorists in Federal court yet you didn't hear a peep from the wingnuts when Bush had Richard Reed, the shoe-bomber; and 9-11 planner Moussawii, tried and convicted, and sentenced to life without parole.
Moussawi was tried in the NY Federal Court and not hardly a peep! Bush could do no wrong in the war on terror! Now we know differently, don't we? One misstep after another. With ignorance and hubris, they didn't even get enough troops to the battlefield and they dithered away in Afghanistan to the point where now the Taliban is becoming an increasing threat. Stupid is stupid. Call a spade a spade, please.
Under the Geneva conference, enemy combatants have to be freed when a war is over. THAT SUCKS BAAAAAAAAAAAAAD! That means enemy combatants can never be tried if they are "soldiers". There is great merit to using the court system since as criminals, they don't have the Geneva Convention rights to go home when the war is over.
And Excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me, Janey deary, but Bush sent combatants to Yemen, yet not a peep from the nutjobs. Consistency and cooperation are things you can't expect from right wingers
The hypocrisy is stifling and miasmal. You didn't hear a sound from them when we invaded the wrong country and blew a trillion dollars and tens of thousands of lives, yet they go ballistic about improving the healthcare of this country. The "socialist rants" are pathological. Anti-abolitionists and anti-suffragists were attacked as anti-American, socialist, atheist! Some things never change and they always lose in the end. How can anyone take these people seriously when they flip-flop over and over and exhibit questionable ethics.
There is a good reason why membership in the GOP is at only 20% of Americans. They represent the past and this party will die like the Federalists did if they don't embrace some common sense and modernity. Please, some common sense please instead of all these transparent tirades. Remember, today's GOP and right wingers are NOT the parties of Lincoln. This coalition of Christian extremists, John Birchers, pseudo-patriotic McCarthyists, and the prone to violence Timothy McVeighs --selfish anarchists -- are just a bit too much for sensible people.
