MICHELLE BACHMANN SAYS GAY-BULLYING NOT A FEDERAL ISSUE
Since when is LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS not a federal issue? Essentially, the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment says NO STATE CAN DENY ANYONE THE LIBERTIES AND PROTECTIONS OF THE FEDERAL CONSTITUTION. As Usual, this teabagger shows us how constitutionally clueless she is. The 14th Amendment imposed the Federal Constitution upon the states in 1868. It imposed the religious test ban in Article 6. It imposed the Bill of Rights upon the states and now teabaggers say freedom is a state issue. Bullying is harassment. Protection from harassment, physical or emotional, is the ethical duty of every state under the Federal Constitution. Laws are to protect all, equally.

Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann is coming under fire from LGBT advocates for saying anti-gay bullying isn’t a problem for the federal government.
At a rally in Costa Mesa, Calif., on Friday, Minnesota resident Alex Lemon asked Bachmann what she intends to do about the rash of anti-gay school bullying in her district, according to CBS News.
Bachmann reportedly offered a brief response: “That’s not a federal issue.” The GOP presidential hopeful moved on to shake hands with the next rally attendee.
A U.S. House member who represents Minnesota in Congress, Bachmann has become associated with the issue of anti-gay bullying because of the rash of teen suicides in her congressional district. Over the past two years, nine youths have committed suicide in the Anoka-Hennepin school district, the largest in Minnesota. At least four suicide victims were victims of bullying because they were gay or perceived to be gay.
In July, the National Center for Lesbian Rights and the Southern Poverty Law Center filed a lawsuit against the district on behalf of students who say they experienced harassment and violence as a result of an anti-gay environment. The Education and Justice departments are also investigating the district over the issue.
Minnesota resident Tammy Aaberg met with Bachmann’s staffers on Thursday in her Waite Park, Minn., district office to urge the lawmaker to speak out against bullying. Aaberg’s 15-year-old son, Justin, hanged himself in July 2010 after being subjected to anti-gay harassment.
LGBT advocates pounced on Bachmann for rejecting the idea that the federal government should have a role in stopping anti-gay bullying in schools.
Fred Sainz, vice president of communications at the Human Rights Campaign, said Bachmann’s remarks at the rally demonstrate “her ignorance and why she’s not worthy of the presidency.”
“Two bills to make schools safer for all kids are pending before Congress and in just a few days, the White House will host a second summit on the issue,” Sainz said. “It most certainly is a federal issue.”
Daryl Presgraves, spokesperson for the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network, or GLSEN, called the Republican presidential candidate’s comments “disappointing.”

“Given her visibility and the well-documented experiences of students being bullied in her own district, it’s disappointing that Rep. Bachmann disagrees with the notion that the safety of all children is a universal concern, not one limited by jurisdiction,” Presgraves said.
Caleb Laiseki, a 16-year-old national advocate for LGBT youth, also maintained bullying should be under the purview of the federal government.
“A national issue is when an issue is occurring throughout the entire nation,” Laiseki said. “Therefore, when incidents of suicides and bullying are occurring in all fifty-states, it clarifies that this a national issue that needs prompt solutions.”
Legislation pending before Congress known as the Student Non-Discrimination Act and the Safe Schools Improvement Act aims to stop the bullying of LGBT students in schools. President Obama has yet to endorse either of these bills.
But the Obama administration has interpreted existing federal law prohibiting schools from discriminating on the basis on gender to apply in some circumstances to LGBT youth. Title IV of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibit harassment based on gender.
Additionally, the White House held a bullying summit in March. Next week, the Education Department is hosting its second annual bullying prevention summit at the Washington Hilton Hotel in D.C.
Bachmann has an extensive anti-gay voting history as a member of Congress and has taken anti-gay positions in her pursuit of the White House. She backs a U.S. constitutional amendment that would ban same-sex marriage and has pledged to reinstate “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” if elected president.
The lawmaker co-owns with her spouse, Marcus Bachmann, a faith-based therapy center that hasbeen revealed in engage in widely discredited “ex-gay” therapy aimed at turning gay people into being straight. The clinic has reportedly been the recipient of at least $137,000 in Medicaid funds since 2005. Bachmann has refused to answer questions about this practice at her clinic or whether federal funds have subsidized it.
MICHELLE BACHMANN SUPPORTS IRANIAN TERRORIST GROUP MUJAHEDIN
Bachmann Warns Against "Radical Elements All Across the Middle East Region" While Supporting Terror Cult MEK
LA Times reports on Bachmann speech at a GOP convention in Los Angeles:It was on matters of foreign policy that Bachmann seemed to take her stump message further, offering a critical view of the so-called “Arab Spring” and voicing sympathy for Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak. “We saw President Mubarak fall while President Obama sat on his hands,” Bachmann said. “And we’ve also seen now the rise of radical elements all across the Middle East region.” As we have reported months ago, Bachmann supports The People's Mujahideen Organisation of Iran (PMOI, also known as the MEK) and so does Bradlee Dean's lawyer Larry Klayman. PAT ROBERTSON SUPPORTS THE PARTY OF DEATH
You won't believe this! This is how sick right wingers are. Pat tells a man he can divorce his wife who has alzheimers because its a kind of death. I guess that sickness and death vow doesn't mean anything to Pat and those who think like him. Pat has shown people that he is demented. The man Pat counsels is bitter at God and is already dating another woman. Look at the crazy baggage people have when they let religion mess with their heads. The space is better used living smart. Irreligious people don't hate God because you can't hate something that doesn't exist. Its a waste of space. All the major religions make you stupid if you take them too seriously. There are things that nobody can know so stop wasting the space in your brain. Use it for something good. Try love and community.
You saw the right wing extremists cheer death in two GOP debates in a row and now Pat has taken it a step farther. How sick is the Party of Death?

MORE INSANITY FROM THE PARTY OF DEATH
America, wake up! The Teabaggers want to repeal civilization. They support a Social Darwinism that is straight from hell. Cold, hard, sociopathic.
THE PARTY OF DEATH
This cheering of death is sickening and people should take notice of what lies under the surface of these barbarians who come in the name of the founders, Christianity and the constitution.
The right wingers that have taken over the GOP have made it the Party of Death. Isn't it odd that conservatives seem to want to kill everything but a fetus? There is something awfully strange about these people. This kind of behavior indicates a tendency towards being sociopathic. Sociopaths can go undetected throughout their lives because they seem normal but there is a very dark side that they hide. They have difficulty feeling any remorse or offering any sort of apology for wrongs. The tea Party has brought sociopathic behavior out of the closets and made it acceptable. Its pathological.
Governor Perry has recently executed an innocent man in Texas. His name was Cameron Todd Willingham. When the investigation into the trial of this man on death row started to bring questions to the fore regarding Texas justice, Perry simply fired the people. He doesn't lose any sleep because he is cold, hard and dangerous, propped up by the sociopathic ideology of the legalistic, quasi-theocratic radical right. He represents a group of people that treat life and death in a cavalier fashion - except fetuses and corporations of course (corporations are people they say). They are truly the barbarians at the gate. There is another group that has similarities and these are Islamofascists. Perry and his kind of Christofascists.
How many times have you heard of DNA clearing someone who was on death row? This is a good reason to stop executions. The simple fact is that our justice system is not all knowing and we should not pretend that our jury system of ordinary people can be exceptional in meting out justice. Killing an innocent man is evil and should not be taken lightly as the teabaggers seem to do. But right wingers don't care because they are consumed by a rigid ideology of hatred and bloodlust towards anything not like them. To them, its a badge of honor to have the balls to kill an innocent man as one Texan said. That is evil, plain and simple.
The most violent part of the country is the Bible belt. The bottom for education and healthcare, the top for murder, divorce and religious extremism. The Christofascism there has poisoned the water.
The hell with Al Qaeda, protect us from today's mutated Republican Party, the party of death. Playing God is there obsession and the God of the Bible is a jealous and intolerant killing machine. If they like Guns, God and almost no government why don't they move to Somalia? If they like cold hard justice that has no respect for life and liberty why don't they move to Iran or Saudi Arabia where they belong? The American Taliban needs to find another nation because they don't belong here.
Governor Rick Perry is a typical teabagger, driven by ideology instead of ethics and justice. Don't believe anything he says. He is a C-student puppet of the religious right and right wing corporatists who seek to take over our democratic Republic and replace it with an oligarchical plutocracy.
